Aberdeen Primitive Baptist Church

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. I pray that everyone is doing well. Beth had her 4th treatment thursday. That completed the first of three drugs she will take. She went wednesday to have a MUGA test done at the hospital.The MUGA scan (MUltiple Gated Acquisition scan) is a noninvasive test that produces a moving image of the heart. From this image, the health of the heart’s major pumping chamber (the left ventricle) can be assessed. Her result was 89% which is even higher than when she first began her chemo. The doctor said that she must have the heart of a marathon runner which is good. The Lord has blessed Beth and is substaining her well. It is such a good God that we serve. Beth is resting now. It seems that the treatment she had thursday is kicking in a little earlier than before. Please pray that she will not get too sick and recover quickly over the weekend. Usually the 2nd and 3rd day after her treatment are the worst. Her blood counts are staying up and look good. Me and the boys(jake and Zach) shaved our heads this week for mommy. We want to show not only our spiritual support, but our physical support also. I want her to know that we are in this together and that we are right here for her. I am posting a picture for you all to see. Other than that nothing else much around here. I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers. You all mean so much to us. Please continue to pray for us as we will pray for you all also. I would like to also make a few other prayer requests too. Please pray for sister Abby Sacran at Ripley Church. she has not been feeling well the past few weeks. Pray that the Lord will heal and strengthen her and uplift her spirit. Please pray also for a good friend of ours son. John Thomas Kilpatrick of alabama. He has been in the hospital at UAB and has had a staph infection in his hip. He had to have surgery to clean out the hip area. We pray that the Lord will heal his young body and they can take him home soon. I am sure that there are many more requests that I could mention and would remind us to pray for all of Gods people, many are sick or in need of His mercy and grace or healing in our small congregations around us. eventhough I am not sick I still need your prayers that God will give me wisdom and patience in these times of trials in our life here at home. Things get a little wild around here sometimes. Thanks again for all that everyone has done to help us and the support for Beth and our family. It is a blessing from the Lord to have all of you brothers and sisters around us.

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. I apologize for the length of time between posts. We have had a busy week and weekend. We had our bucket wash saturday for operation Ukraine. We washed about 250-300 buckets that will be sent overseas so people can carry water in them. Beth had some outpatient surgery performed tuesday and she had her third chemo treatment thursday. She is pretty tired this weekend. She was able to go to first service but we came home after that. She is doing well considering all she has been thru this week. She is resting right now. It is taking her a little longer to get recovered from this treatment than before. Her blood counts are good and seem to be staying up real good. The Lord has been so good to us and is taking good care of Beth. She still has some hair left, but it is stil coming out. She has a couple of wigs to wear and she looks beautiful in them. We are thankful for everyone who is praying for us and the support we recieve from you dear friends. Eventhough this is tuff on us we are comforted by the blessings of the Lord and the promises for us in His word. It is by His hands and His will and purpose that all things come to pass for His glory and not ours. We praise the Lord for all things even in times of hardship and troubles. We know that there are others among us that are also in great need of our prayer and support and I would like to request prayer for them also. There are several brothers and sisters that also need the healing of the Lord as does Beth. As I get their permission I will also post those specific requests so we can remember them in our prayers. I again want to thank all of you for everything that you have done for my family and for the prayer for my angel. It is hard watching her go thru this , but it is encouraging to me when someone comes up and tells me that they are praying for Beth. It is truely blessings from the Lord He sends to us thru your prayers and your love for us.

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. Beth is doing well. She is up and about and getting around good. She does get tired towards the end of the day as well as do all of us. She went to get her blood work done today. The results were great. Her platelet count is even higher than last week and her white blood cell count is only down to 7.9 from 9.8. The normal range is between 5.0- 10.0. The Lord is so great. He surely does answer prayer. Thank all of you for the prayers on the behalf of my wife. The support is tremendous. She and I really are thankful for all of you brothers and sisters. To be surrounded with so much love and kindness is a greater blessing than we could ever ask for. Please fill free to call Beth anytime and talk to her, she would really like to hear from ya'll. She can talk your ear off. She gets that from her father. Pray for there safe journey and that the Lord's message will be sent forth to his elect people there and they will have hearing ears and understanding hearts. Pray that the messages sent forth will be of the Lord and to His honour and glory , not ours. We have such a wonderful savior and we must share Him with others. God gave HIs only begotten Son to die on the cross and be raised from the grave so that the sins of His people should be washed away through the precious blood of Christ. This message we should share with all we meet and go into the world and preach the gospel of the Lord.(Mark 16:15)

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. It has been several days since our last update. Beth is doing well. The first day after her treatment, which was friday, she was good to go. She was up and about, exercising, and having a blessed day. By friday night she started to get tired. Saturday was not as good for her. She was not up and around much at all. Sunday, she was able to go to church and attend both services. She felt a little better than the day before, but was still sorta sick. By monday morning she was doing better and was able to do more thing during the day. Tonight she seems to be back in full swing. She will have her blood work done Thursday. Pray that the Lord will recover her body back to health as He has done before. Pray that the Lord will heal her body and strengthen her. She still has some of her hair, though it is coming out fast. Continue to pray for Beth and my family. Your prayers mean so much to us, as well as your support. I thank everyone for all of the help and any money you have sent to us. It means alot to us. We thank the Lord everyday for the blessings He has given to us. The Lord has never let me or my family down. He has provided our needs plus some. The Lord will watch over His sheep, we forget sometimes, but He reminds us in gentle ways. He will never leave or foresake us. It is by His hand that we shall endure to His return to take us home.

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. Beth had her 2nd treatment today. Everything went well. Her blood count was back up to normal today and even higher in some areas than two weeks ago. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. A friend of the family brought us supper tonight and it was good. We like to eat around here at this house. Beth is resting now and we will see how she does in the next couple of days. She will go tomorrow and have the shot of neulasta to help build her white blood count up more quickly since she is on treatments every two weeks. The Lord has been good to us and is taking care of my family. Please continue to pray for beth that the Lord will continue to heal her body. It is a wonderful God we serve.Pray for us.

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. I pray everyone is doing well. Beth is fine, she feels good right now and is getting around good too. We went to pensacola, fl to see my mother ,father, and sister this weekend. Beth and the kids went down thursday and josh and I went down friday. It rained just about all weekend, but we had a good visit with my parents. They really enjoy the kids, they keep them busy when we are there. My sister just loves to watch them run around and play all of the time. They would take her outside and drive her around in her wheelchair if they could. The kids would get a kick out of that. We don't get to see them very often as I would like to. We pray that their house will sell so they can move back closer to us. Beth and I went to church at Bro Mickey's church in panama city. Bro Herb tries to go down there every 1st sunday if he can. We went down saturday night to sister Felicia's house for bible study and dinner. She prepared us a wonderful meal. We had a good service sunday morning and then drove back to pensacola to geet the kids and then came home. We arrived at home about 12 midnight. Everyone was very tired and today they slept in a little longer than usual. I wish we were able to go down more often. We plan to go back next 1st sunday in May if the Lord wills. Beth has another treatment this thursday. Pray for her that everything goes well and that the treatments will be effectual for her. We pray that her blood count will be up more than last week also. • Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. Beth went to the doctor for her blood work. I asked them for a copy of the results for last week and todays so we could compare the numbers to see what each part of her blood is doing. Alomost everything decreased, her white blood cells,red blood cells, and platletes were all down. They are not too low, but need to come up some to be back to normal. They may not come back up as much as we would like to see until the chemo is done. If the count goes down, it could interfer with the treatments. They will stop the treatment if the blood count gets too low so they can get the count back up. We pray that will not happen. we are going to get her protein intake up this next week to see if that will increase it before the next treatment which will be next thursday(4-10-08). Please pray to the Lord that He will increase her blood count for her. It is in His hands. Beth left today to go down to pensacola to visit my parents and sister. Josh and I will leave tomorrow. We plan to be at Bro. Mickey's church in panama city beach for sunday service if it be the Lord's will. Pray for our safe journey to there and back. well not much else happening, thanks again to all of you friends for your prayers and support. You mean alot to us.

• Hello dear friends and saints of the Lord. I hope and pray everyone is well and ok. We just got back from church today. We had a good service and was blessed with the truth of the Lord being preached. We are very thankful to be in a church that preaches the bible and God's word. So many out there never here the truth nor desire the truth to be preached. It is convicting to the saints of the Lord. We know and realize that we are all sinners, but our sins are forgiven by the blood of our savior Jesus Christ. He died for His elect and the elect only that He chose before the foundation of the world. It is a great confort to know and trust the Lord. Beth is doing ok. She felt pretty bad this morning. The nausa is getting a little worse and she is tired more easily. She does have some nausea medication that does help her some. The nausea comes from all of the dead cells that the chemo kills and the body trying to get rid of them and recover. The shot of neulasta she recieved friday is to help her blood count go up, but it does make her sore and ache. She will have to have this shot the day after her chemo treatments. she is resting right now. She was able to be at church for both services today. She has been taking vitamins and herbal teas to help her body. she takes a liquid vitamin,Daily Complete, by the awareness life corporation, she takes a protein shake made from 100% NON-GMO(NON-GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISM) Vegetable Pea and Brown rice. There is no soy or whey/dairy in it because of recent concerns regarding potential problems for both of those ingredients. She takes Polyerga( Oligopeptides and Polypeptides from porcine spleen. She takes a herbal tea(from the ancient Ojibway Indain Herbal remedy) It tastes like pond water to me. A friend of ours whose daughter had cancer several years ago took the tea, the shake, and the daily complete and had good response to it. This combination took her blood count from about 20,000 to 150,000 in 30 days. The doctors gave up on her and told her parents she was going to die. The Lord led them to these products thru research and they started giving them to their daughter. They trusted in the Lord and He brought her thru her cancer and she is still with us today about 8yrs later. Beth also takes other vitamins and we all have changed the way we eat. Alot more raw fruit and vegatables and not near as much sugar. We got her a grain mill so we can grind our own wheat and make bread and all kind of goodies. I know there is alot more we have to do in our diet, it takes time to change a life time of eating habits. Beth has done real well with her changes in her diet and gives us encouragement in ours( the kids and me). I have a few children that don't eat enough vegatables and drinks to many sodas. we pray that they will change these habits thru watching Beth and the example she is to us. They eat good at home, but when they are not here it is hard to monitor ther intake. It is also hard to force a person almost grown to eat something that they might not like. You can lead a horse to water , but you can not make them drink. It is only in the power and conviction of the Lord that we are able to do anything. we pray the Lord will convict them to start to take better care of there bodies at an early age. I believe the bible charges us to do so in his word. Well I know this is pretty long, but a had some extra time and I want everyone to know as much about Beth and what she is doing and going thru. We continue to request your prayers that the Lord heal her body and to strengthen her body as to be able to handle this treatment. It is in His hands and all to His Glory. • hello dear freinds and saints of the Lord. it has been a few days since I have written in here. Nothing really was going on till today. Beth started her chemo today. It went well. We were there for about 3 hrs. They had to draw blood and do blood work and that took most of the time. the chemo was about 1 hr long. after her treatment we went and ate lunch together and I brought her back home. She has rested off and on since then and seems to be a little tired as expected. Tommorrow she has to go and get a shot at the hospital that will help her recover quicker and help with the soreness in her body. she will have to go next thursday and have blood work done again to see if her blood count is ok. she will have chemo every 2 weeks for 24 weeks. Then radiation after that. Please pray that the Lord will keep her body strong and that the treatments will be effectual for her. we thank everyone for all that they have done. Some friends from the bank brought us dinner tonight and it was very good. I really am thankful for our dear friends, they have been very sweet and sincere in their helpfullness. Well, I would like to go one, but the boys, Jake and Zach, need baths so I have to go. Thanks again for all of the prayers and please keep praying for us.

• Hello to all of our dear friends and saints of the Lord. It has been a couple of days since I last wrote anything. Nothing new has happened until today. Beth went to see another doctor here for a second opinion about her treatment. The doctor told us just about the same thing as Dr.Whitecar. We were relieved to here that because we both have been happy at Dr Whitcar's office and with the people there. We believe and trust that the Lord has us where He wants us to be. It is in His hands. Beth is doing real good. She has been trying out her new grain mill. I can't wait to be the test subject for all of those baked goods. We all are changing our diets around here and trying to eat more healthy. It is a little harder, but worth the effort. The Lord gave us this body and we should do the best we are able to take care of it. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. That is about it for now. We whave another doctor visit in alabama next wednesday and Beth will start her chemo thursday. Continue to pray for Beth and our family. We really need your prayers.
